Recipe - Lemon and Hemp Pepita Balls

Lemon and Hemp Pepita Balls


100 g flaked coconut

150 g pepita seeds (pumpkin seeds)

Finely grated zest of 1 lemon

3 tbsp lemon juice

3 tbsp hemp seeds

1 tbsp unhulled tahini

1 tbsp raw honey


Make approximately 20 balls



  1. Place coconut flakes and pepita seeds into a food processor and blend for 1 minute or until smooth.
  2. Transfer 1/3 cup of the coconut mixture to a large plate and set aside.
  3. Add hemp seeds, lemon zest and juice, tahini and honey to the food processor with the remaining coconut mixture and mix on low speed for 30 seconds.
  4. Roll small balls of the mixture into the reserved coconut mixture to lightly coat.


These balls are perfect for nut-free lunch boxes and store well in an airtight container for up to 7 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
